First, we are shown in this teaching how Enoch walked with God and pleased God though the relationship they had together. We see in the Old Testament all the things God did to bless His people and how what He wanted in return from them was to turn away from idolatry and to put Him first in their hearts. In the New Testament, God’s desire for His people had not changed as shown by Jesus telling his followers that the first commandment is to love God with all your heart. The teacher shows us from the Word how to put God first and also how our service for God never comes before our love for God. It’s our heart God wants over our works.

The teacher goes over three different words for God in the Bible and their meanings. He covers who God is in a relationship with us to help us and who God was to Moses, David, and Jonah. We see God’s goodness, forgiveness, mercy, compassion, longsuffering, and how He does not change. We are His sons and He will be for us what we need Him to be as we do His Word.

First, there is a sharing about the recent Youth Advance held in New Jersey. The teaching talks about how our ministry of reconciliation is not just mass evangelism, but God works with people one on one. We are encouraged to seize every opportunity to speak God’s Word to one person and help them grow and develop in the Word until that person is mature enough to reach out to another. The teacher talks of how the Word moved in South America that started with one person moving there and speaking God’s Word to another.
