Colossians 2:10: You Can Walk with God
The Great Mystery Greenkill Conference Center Armstrong, Joe 04/15/2007 04/15/2007
This teaching is about the power of God all born-again believers are given and how we can walk with that power because of the grace and righteousness we were freely given by Jesus Christ’s accomplishments. We are told to beware of religion that will tell us that you have to be good enough before you can walk with God’s power. Our place in the One Body is not something we’ve earned, but we’ve been placed in the Body by grace with each member being necessary and complete.
Power, The One Body
Like-minded Hearts
Lifestyle of a Believer The Great Mystery Greenkill Conference Center Chatten, Bob 04/14/2007 04/14/2007
This teaching highlights several examples demonstrating what unity is supposed to look like with believers agreeing on the Mystery while being united in love as the One Body of Christ. God has supplied His family with a written standard, the Word of God, and the head of the Body, Christ Jesus, to lead us so we can be likeminded and glorify God together even though we are different as individuals. Like-mindedness in believing God’s Word results in unity, answered prayer, gladness, fellowship, outreach, boldness, and meeting of needs, as well as receiving and manifesting God’s power, grace, deliverance, and joy. This is music to God’s heart!
Unity
Colossians 2:3-7
Leadership and Service The Great Mystery Greenkill Conference Center Zolezzi, Steve 04/14/2007 04/14/2007
This teaching looks at Colossians 2:3-7 as an exhortation to walk and be established in the right way of believing in order to preserve and spread the knowledge of the Mystery in our day and time.
Encouragement: How to Comfort a Heart
Leadership and Service Love Witnessing and Undershepherding Greenkill Conference Center Gilmore, Michael 04/14/2007 04/14/2007
This teaching looks at various usages of words translated “comfort” to show the things that bring true comfort. The contrast between genuine words of comfort and smooth, flattering words is presented. Michael states that anyone who knows any of God’s Word can bring comfort to people and exhorts them not to hold back in doing so.
Colossians 2:2
The Great Mystery Leadership and Service Love Greenkill Conference Center Carr, Jerry 04/13/2007 04/13/2007
This teaching opens the 2007 Spring Advance and shows the context of the theme verse, Colossians 2:2, which is the Mystery. The Apostle Paul’s ministry was to serve, preach, live, and make known the Mystery. God’s heart, Paul’s heart, and Jerry Carr’s heart for the weekend is that believers would understand the Mystery, not only in head but in heart, be united in love, and be certain of the knowledge of the One Body and Christ in us to the end of living it.
