The teaching covers the record from Acts 12 where Peter is put in prison after James was killed and how the church responded with prayer together in this intense life or death situation. Peter gets out by God sending an angel and returns to where the believers were together, praying. Peter’s miraculous release from prison along with the prayers of the church caused the Word to grow and multiply.

In this teaching, Joe shares that this life has a rhythm; bad things will happen, but, when we bear up under the pressure, God will deliver. It covers examples of believers who were delivered by God as they endured pressure. To conclude, Joe instructs that, when pressure comes, we should pray, grab hold of our minds, and, once the deliverance comes, shake off the dust of our feet.

In this teaching, Joe handles the pressure God’s Word says believers will have in this life. He covers how, because we have Christ within, we represent the absent Christ here on earth and that we will be treated like the absent Christ as we pose a threat to the Adversary’s kingdom. He portrays examples of Paul’s life and some of the pressures he encountered as he and the believers stood on God’s Word and moved God’s Word. Shows how these believers continued to speak God’s Word with great boldness and joy. He highlights Paul’s example of leadership being up front with the people and taking the pressure on. Lastly, he demonstrates the importance of bearing up under pressure and continuing to move even when the pressures on.

It establishes the importance of staying our minds when we go to God in prayer. Then, it continues on addressing prayer as a group, as an individual, with prayer partners, and, lastly, as a leader.

This teaching begins with an overview of prayers throughout the Book of Acts; all prayers mentioned were for the move of God’s Word and for people to be delivered. It handles the importance of our motivation and priorities when we go to God for things. It covers God’s care for our every need when we chose to freely serve Him. The teaching portrays how important it is to overcome sin consciousness by claiming the believer’s righteousness. And lastly, it handles us being workers together with God and that God works in us!
