Four Ways to Build God’s Word in People

Believing The Palace Hotel (North Bergen, NJ) Carr, Jerry 06/06/1990 06/06/1990

This session covers four great ways of building God’s Word in people – loving them with the love of God, believing in people, understanding that every believer has a function in the Body, and how all people have a basic desire to be needed.

Body of Christ

Our Calling in the One Body

Renewed Mind The Palace Hotel (North Bergen, NJ) Carr, Jerry 06/04/1990 06/04/1990

This teaching talks about the renewed mind, Jesus Christ’s works, and how we, the believers, can do the same works Jesus Christ did. We study the Word of God to have a knowledge of God and not be ignorant of spiritual matters. The knowledge of God’s Word and the application of it with believing enables us to live victoriously. The second part of this teaching covers our calling in the One Body and how we are seated in the heavenlies above all principalities and powers as covered in the book of Ephesians. Then, in Romans, the spiritual Body is compared with the human body, how it fits together and how every part is needed and has a function. In light of that, we are to love one another without partiality.

The One Body

Gideon and Peter: Two Examples of Believing

Believing Old Testament Examples Greenkill Conference Center Carr, Jerry 06/30/2017 06/30/2017

Rev. Jerry Carr shares about the records of Gideon and of Peter with Cornelius. Gideon followed God’s instructions in an impossible situation. Peter obeyed God after God worked with him to overcome his prejudices against Gentiles, and Cornelius got born again because he precisely obeyed God’s instructions. These are tremendous examples of believing for us to follow.

Following

Believing, Trusting, Following, and Obeying God’s Word – Part 2

Believing Old Testament Examples Greenkill Conference Center Carr, Jerry 06/25/2017 06/25/2017

This teaching continues with believing, trusting, following, and obeying God’s Word by going over records of Jeremiah and Naaman. Jeremiah followed God’s strange instructions and then God showed him the profit. Naaman’s deliverance was dependent upon his obeying the instructions God gave to Elisha. We need to receive God’s Word with meekness and a readiness of mind like Jeremiah and Naaman so that we may see God’s solutions come to pass.
