First, the Hebrew word ‘āman and the Greek word pistos, both of which are translated “faithful”, are discussed. Then, we look at God’s faithfulness to His Word and to us as we believe His Word. Finally, we look at our faithfulness to God which is in caring for the rightly divided Word.

Sonship Rights

The New Birth Sonship Rights Greenkill Conference Center Nafey, Amanda 04/25/2009 04/25/2009

This teaching about recognizing your position as a son of God has three parts: (1) who we are – sons of God, (2) what does it mean to be a son of God? and (3) act like a son of God. Holy spirit changed us, and we are no longer the same people we were before we were born again. Let’s wake up every day and believe we are God’s kids. We get to enjoy being sanctified, righteous, justified, forgiven, redeemed, and we can’t lose these sonship rights. Jesus Christ paid for everything mankind lacked, so we are complete and going to Heaven. We need to believe the truth of who we are in order to see the effect on our lives and the lives of others. We have the responsibility and privilege of reconciling others back to Him. Our citizenship is in Heaven so we should live our lives like sons of God. We are not in this life alone; we are laboring together and doing it together with God.
