Triumph in Christ
The Great Mystery Hasbrouck Heights VFW (Hasbrouck Heights, NJ) Chatten, Bob 10/06/2013
This teaching is about the rescuing we needed because of sin nature and how Jesus Christ brought about the solution. He give us victory from sin, death, sickness and darkness, and he spoiled the enemy stripping him of his weapons, disarming him. He removed the sin and the bondage of the law and the fear that death brought so that we are continually and constantly being led in triumph by Christ day by day.

God Directs Our Paths
Believing Walking with God Montclair Women’s Club (Montclair, NJ) Hanan, Patrick 12/17/2022
As we acknowledge God, He will direct our paths in the right precise way. We see that there are many wrong ways but only one right way, God’s way. We don’t need to worry whether God will do what He says He will do or not, and we don’t need to be distracted by cares when we can focus on God and His Word. So, we stay put on what God says and wait on Him because He is not slack concerning any of His promises. The teacher goes over a record in Acts 16 where Paul let God direct him and the resulting profit of his walking with God.
Acknowledge God in All Our Ways
Lifestyle of a Believer Montclair Women’s Club (Montclair, NJ) Chatten, Bob 12/17/2022
The teacher goes through a regular day and shows how we can acknowledge God in different parts of our day like waking up, eating, driving, working, finding lost items, and going to fellowship. We see how we can think about God, acknowledging Him and seeking Him in all our ways, from the time we wake up in the morning until we go to sleep at night so that the cares and pressures and pleasures of this world don’t choke the Word in our lives and cause us not to bear fruit. We can go to sleep in peace at night acknowledging and thanking God for all He did with us and for us throughout the day.
Trusting in God and Not Ourselves
Believing Montclair Women’s Club (Montclair, NJ) Carr, Jesse 12/17/2022
When we trust God more than ourselves, our lives will be magnificent. The teacher reviews some of the main words in Proverbs 3:5, trust, lean, heart, and understanding, and how they are used. When we trust God, we can be secure without fear. We’re not supposed to rely on our own insight and experience, but instead we train our minds to constantly remember that we need God. His wisdom is way beyond ours, and the result of trusting Him instead of ourselves is that God gets the glory. The teacher then shows examples of people who trusted themselves and of others who trusted God. No matter how crazy or commonplace situations are, we should always remember that we need God’s help and expect Him to give us wisdom.
