How to Be Especially Good to Your Spouse

How to Be Especially Good to Your Spouse Marriage, Family and Children The Heldridge Hotel (New Brunswick, NJ) Carr, Jerry 11/08/2009

The teaching expounds on how to be good to your spouse by knowing how God is good, then we can be like God when it comes to our spouse. The teacher goes through the epistles on how believers are to live with and treat one another and ties that in with how to live with and treat your spouse. He goes through considering others first, praying for each other, intercession, sharing fully together, being like minded, having grace, loving unconditionally, cleaving to that which is good, forgiveness, not judging, looking on the things of others, and not letting the sun go down upon your wrath. He shows us in the Word how a marriage is the example of the One Body.

Sex in Christian Marriage

Sex in Christian Marriage Marriage, Family and Children The Heldridge Hotel (New Brunswick, NJ) Chatten, Bob 11/07/2009

The teacher shows from God’s Word how sex and marriage is a celebration of love between a married couple on the physical, mental and spiritual levels. It’s designed by God to encompass body, soul and spirit. Through the scriptures we see that marriage is an advanced course in agapē love, requiring giving and believing God’s Word. We see how to enhance your marriage from the Word’s viewpoint. The teaching covers the differences between what men want and need and what women want and need in sex and marriage.

Communication

Communication Marriage, Family and Children The Heldridge Hotel (New Brunswick, NJ) Armstrong, Joe 11/07/2009

This teaching stresses how important communication is in a marriage. Some of the things covered are communicating with your spouse about faults or weaknesses in order to get help with the Word, building each other up with words, covering up sins and shortcomings, the importance of just listening to each other, not staying angry, and being patient. The teacher talks about how words can hurt people or build them up and show kind affection and how a word fitly spoken can do more than any gift you could give to your spouse.

Keeping God First in Your Marriage

Lifestyle of a Believer Marriage, Family, and Children The Heldridge Hotel (New Brunswick, NJ) Gilmore, Michael Carr, Jerry 11/06/2009

First, an introduction is given for the event and for the teaching. The teacher reveals within this teaching what the primary key is to a good marriage. He declares that we are primarily believers and then husband or wife; we are to treat our spouse as a believer. The teacher also talks about holding the Bible as the standard, and when situations arise, we act according to what the Word declares. When we keep God first and hold the Word as the standard in our marriages, then our marriages will flourish and be beautiful examples of the Mystery to all.

2 Thessalonians 2:5 – 3:18

2 Thessalonians 2:5 – 3:18 The Hope Daggon Home (Budd Lake, NJ) Zolezzi, Steve 02/14/2009

This final teaching in Thessalonians first deals with the revealing of the man of lawlessness, the Antichrist. It talks of when he is to come and what is restraining his arrival and his counterfeits. Then, it covers the disorderly walk of some people and how we, as believers, can walk without being discouraged by standing fast on the traditions we have been taught. At the end of the teaching, we are given a summary of all that we have and can do because of the hope in light of 1 and 2 Thessalonians.
