God wants us to be prosper and be in health. The teacher goes through scriptures that show God as a God of healing. Jesus Christ came and took away all of the things that came with the sin nature that we inherited from Adam including sin, sickness, and condemnation. We see two records in the Old Testament, one where someone went to God first for healing and one where someone didn’t go to God first, and compare the outcomes of each of them. The teacher goes over four ways to get healed and talks about a community of believing and God’s forgiveness.

First, we are shown in this teaching how Enoch walked with God and pleased God though the relationship they had together. We see in the Old Testament all the things God did to bless His people and how what He wanted in return from them was to turn away from idolatry and to put Him first in their hearts. In the New Testament, God’s desire for His people had not changed as shown by Jesus telling his followers that the first commandment is to love God with all your heart. The teacher shows us from the Word how to put God first and also how our service for God never comes before our love for God. It’s our heart God wants over our works.
Who Is God?

The teacher goes over three different words for God in the Bible and their meanings. He covers who God is in a relationship with us to help us and who God was to Moses, David, and Jonah. We see God’s goodness, forgiveness, mercy, compassion, longsuffering, and how He does not change. We are His sons and He will be for us what we need Him to be as we do His Word.
