The Jew-Gentile Dilemma

The Great Mystery Gross Home (Atlanta, GA) Gilmore, Michael 06/10/2020

In this teaching, we are reminded of the separation that was between the Jews and Gentiles and see how God had to be the one to make sure the Gentiles got born again. We review the record of God’s revelation to Peter to speak the Word to Cornelius and see how God worked with Peter’s background and understanding. We see how there was never really full acceptance of the Gentiles in the first-century Church and are reminded of how important it is to fight for The Mystery and live as one body in our day and time.

Two Aspects of God’s Grace

Two Aspects of God’s Grace Atlanta Believer Home (Tristan Circle) Gilmore, Michael 05/24/2020

The teaching shows that God is a just God and therefore must judge with justice. The wages of sin is death and the justice of God demands judgement, but the love of God demands mercy and grace. Because He is a God of grace and mercy, He provided a substitute, Jesus Christ, so that the world through him might be saved. The teacher then covers two phases of grace, grace that is for the unbeliever and grace for the believer in his walk with God, and covers what the believer is to do with that grace he freely received.

This World Is Not My Home

This World Is Not My Home Sonship Rights Atlanta Believer Home (Tristan Circle) Gilmore, Michael 04/19/2020

This teaching focuses on the truth that we are citizens of heaven and that, while we are in this world, we are not of this world. The analogy is made comparing us to an ambassador to a foreign country. They are temporarily in that country representing someone while their citizenship is somewhere else, just as we represent Christ on this earth. We shouldn’t get caught up in the things of this world but rather remember who we represent, what our sonship rights are, and that we are here temporarily.
