But God…
Deliverance Overcoming Fear Hasbrouck Heights VFW (Hasbrouck Heights, NJ) Chatten, Bob 01/24/2010
We face many challenges in life but, as 2 Corinthians 1:10 says, our God has delivered in the past, is delivering in the present, and has promised to deliver us in the future. As we look to Him and believe His Word, He becomes whatever we need Him to become for us. One of the greatest phrases in the Bible is “But God…” For every attack and pressure that we suffer, for every weakness and failure on our part, there’s a “But God…” in response: But God delivers, but God heals, but God forgives, but God is present, and so forth. In this teaching we look at some different situations and circumstances believers faced in the Bible and God’s deliverance in response.
Trusting God
God Is Our Father
Sonship Rights Atlanta Believer Home (Tristan Circle) Gilmore, Michael 06/20/2021
First, this teaching looks at how God’s people in the Old Testament prayed to God referring to Him as Lord; only in a few examples in the Old Testament is God referred to as Father. We see the closer relationship Jesus Christ had with God, referring to Him as Father. Then, we are shown in the epistles how Jesus Christ made available sonship to anyone who will believe, and we now have that same closeness that Jesus Christ did with God as our Father.

The Word Is Faithful
Believing Integrity of the Word Atlanta Believer Home (Tristan Circle) Gilmore, Michael 04/18/2021
In this teaching, we see records where someone decides what they will believe and what they will not believe. and we see that some people had set conditions for their believing. God has given His Word for us to believe. Man is unreliable but we are shown in the Word how reliable God’s Word is; it is a more sure Word of prophecy. It’s our responsibility to believe God’s Word and hold it fast for it is more reliable than our senses, and it will be fulfilled.
Healing and Forgiveness
Healing Old Testament Examples Atlanta Believer Home (Tristan Circle) Gilmore, Michael 03/21/2021
God wants us to be prosper and be in health. The teacher goes through scriptures that show God as a God of healing. Jesus Christ came and took away all of the things that came with the sin nature that we inherited from Adam including sin, sickness, and condemnation. We see two records in the Old Testament, one where someone went to God first for healing and one where someone didn’t go to God first, and compare the outcomes of each of them. The teacher goes over four ways to get healed and talks about a community of believing and God’s forgiveness.
