Taking Heed Unto Ourselves and the Doctrine
Lifestyle of a Believer Prayer Spruce Lake Retreat Center (Canadensis, PA) Penna, Debbie 07/04/2024
This teaching was taught at a short, optional Morning Watch fellowship before breakfast.
We look at a few psalms and see how we can set our hearts to expect God’s goodness and teaching and be prepared to receive from Him. This allows us to be spiritually ready to go out and serve people. We are also reminded that God knows everything about us, so we shouldn’t try to hide the messy parts of ourselves from Him.
So Much to Give: God’s Word Is the Answer
Witnessing and Undershepherding Spruce Lake Retreat Center (Canadensis, PA) Carr, Jesse 07/03/2024
“God’s Calling Card” by Lisa Tracy performed by Christina Armstrong and Eric Rosa earlier in the fellowship before the teaching.
The teacher explains that people are walking blind through life because they don’t know the spiritual side of things. We have the answers people need because we have the Word and the manifestations. God has freely given us so much so make use of it yourself and give it freely to others. He comforts and takes care of us, and then we can help others who are troubled.
Christina Armstrong, Kristy Nafey, and Eric Rosa performed the song “She Is Wisdom” later in the session after the teaching.

Love and Compassion Enable Us to Speak God’s Word Boldly
Love Witnessing and Undershepherding Spruce Lake Retreat Center (Canadensis, PA) Gilmore, Hannah 07/03/2024
At the beginning of the fellowship, Jerry Carr gives an introduction to the song, and then Christina Armstrong, Kristy Nafey, and Eric Rosa play “What Can I Do for You Today?”.
In this teaching, we learn two reasons why we can speak the Word with boldness and confidence. First, we speak boldly because of our love and compassion for people. We have what people need, and they need help. Give them the chance to get out of the hopelessness of the world. Second, we can be be bold because we have a sure thing, something to rely on. God works in us as we go out to speak, and the truth always comes out victorious.

We Preach God and His Glory
Witnessing and Undershepherding Spruce Lake Retreat Center (Canadensis, PA) Hanan, Patrick 07/03/2024
This teaching was taught at a short, optional Morning Watch fellowship before breakfast.
The teacher gives a reading from 2 Corinthians and then goes through all of Psalm 96. We aren’t preaching ourselves but the truth, something of substance. Give credit to God for all He has done and praise Him. We are told to look to God instead of being discouraged by our faults and failings.
Our Ministry of Reconciliation
Sonship Rights Witnessing and Undershepherding Spruce Lake Retreat Center (Canadensis, PA) Chatten, Bob 07/02/2024
In the context of God’s telling us He has given us the ministry of reconciliation, He details three aspects of it – that we are to be living epistles, we’ve been made able ministers, and we’ve been sent as ambassadors for Christ. Our ministry of reconciling others to God involves not only speaking God’s Word but also living the Word so others can see it in action, manifesting the gift of holy spirit which equips us for this ministry, and exercising our power and authority as sent ones from God to take the place of the absent Christ.
God’s Heart for the People of the World
Lifestyle of a Believer Witnessing and Undershepherding Spruce Lake Retreat Center (Canadensis, PA) Foley, Dorsie 07/02/2024
God is looking to help people. We are reminded that it is still a secret to most of the world that the Word of God is the will of God and that Jesus Christ came to make a more abundant life available to every man. The teacher warns us not to underestimate the impact of our walk and our example on other people. If God tells you to do something, do it. Acts, Chapter 8 is gone through, looking at the examples of how the believers in the first-century Church moved the Word.
