When You Pray, Believe
When You Pray, Believe Believing Prayer Greenkill Conference Center Chatten, Bob 05/03/2014 05/03/2014
This teaching provides practical application for the Mark 11 verse, “when ye pray, believe,” by looking at one of Nehemiah’s eleven recorded prayers. Nehemiah is put forth as an example of using the 5 keys of how to receive anything from God in this prayer as well as his lifestyle of believing. Nehemiah prayed with believing, and it changed the course of history. We can do the same.

In this teaching, Jerry covers the Advance’s theme verse, Romans 10:17. He focuses on the words “faith”, “hearing”, and “the Word of God”. He establishes that, as we attend to and obey God’s Word with great conviction, we will see God bring His Word to pass in our lives.
Jesus Christ: Our Decision to Believe

This teaching is about Jesus Christ and our choice, our decision, to believe in him. Man’s choice, today and throughout history, has always been whether to believe the Lord Jesus Christ or not. According to God’s Word, how are Christians are supposed to live? By believing Jesus Christ as well as believing the power, the righteousness, and all of the other sonship rights we have in Christ. We take the place of the absent Christ because inside every born-again believer is Christ. We can show forth the love of God, perform the miracles, raise the dead, and speak the Word. It is our decision to choose to believe who we are in Christ. In the book of Romans, God’s solution for man’s plight and to make the world a better place is Jesus Christ. Will we choose to stumble at the stumblingstone because of our unbelief or will we live a victorious Christian life by believing what he accomplished?

Being Real is Believing Who You Are

This teaching is about our true identity in Christ and not believing anything less than what the Word says about us. We shouldn’t let our past hold us back from where we are now and we don’t have time to entertain anything less than the Word. We’ve been delivered and we are sons of God. We should be more convinced about what the Word says about us than what the world says about us. Where God has placed us in the Body is right. We should stand out in the world and not cover ourselves to fit in, just as Jesus Christ did not try to fit in with the world in his times. People cannot take away God’s spiritual seed that’s in you, but they can try to convince you that you are not righteous or victorious. Spend time with God to see how you fit in the body and what you can do. Do you want to please God? Believe who you are and believe what the Word says. Shine your light, don’t dim it down.
Believing the Truth
Leadership and Service Hasbrouck Heights VFW (Hasbrouck Heights, NJ) Carr, Jesse 02/16/2014 02/16/2014
This teaching is about how God designed life so He could be with His family. He ordered life so that He is able to bless, help, provide, and lead us like a good father leads his family. True Christianity is not a religion or a philosophy, it is the way of a Father with His family. When we let God do His part as a Father to meet our needs, then we are not overly burdened and are able to serve. This order for life allows us to serve God and His people, even when its not convenient. We should be able to rearrange our plans if a need pops up. As an example, this teaching looks at Jesus Christ’s taking care of God’s people after the death of John the Baptist.
