Jesus Christ Based His Ministry on the Word of God
Jesus Christ’s Example Leadership and Service Cahill Home (Rutherford, NJ) Zolezzi, Steve 10/14/2011 10/14/2011
We see from the scriptures how Jesus Christ had to learn, from childhood, God’s Word and learn to apply it in his walk. He saw his calling and identity as God’s Son from God’s Word. He fulfilled the prophecy regarding himself by believing God’s Word. Our lives too can be a fulfillment of prophecy as we carry out the scriptures regarding ourselves as God’s sons.
Jesus Christ: The Chief Shepherd
Jesus Christ’s Example Leadership and Service Witnessing and Undershepherding Cahill Home (Rutherford, NJ) Chatten, Bob 10/12/2011 10/12/2011
Throughout His Word, God often uses the relationship between sheep and their shepherd or pastor to describe His relationship with His people and the way He wants them taken care of, how they are to be shepherded or undershepherded. In this teaching, we look at some examples in the Bible of how not to shepherd people correctly and then look at Jesus Christ as the example of the Chief Shepherd and the Good Shepherd. Finally, we look at our role as under-shepherds under that Chief Shepherd and how we, too, are to show that love and concern and compassion for others and guide them into a relationship with God.

In this teaching, we talk about how we need to walk in the love of God and focus our minds on the things of God. We’re taught to trust God with all our heart and keep God’s Word first because that’s how we get to know God. Every bit of Scripture is profitable and helps us as we renew our minds to it.
