In this chapter that closes out the doctrinal side of the Book of Romans, we see that every man is dead in trespasses and sins but God reveals how the saved sinner is justified. The old man is reckoned dead. There is no judgment for the believer. There is no separation from God. Man starts in Romans in a state of ruin. Then he is dead with Christ and risen with him, made an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ.
