Prayer in the Book of Acts

The First Century Church Prayer Greenkill Conference Center Gilmore, Michael 06/29/2016 06/29/2016

This teaching begins with an overview of prayers throughout the Book of Acts; all prayers mentioned were for the move of God’s Word and for people to be delivered. It handles the importance of our motivation and priorities when we go to God for things. It covers God’s care for our every need when we chose to freely serve Him. The teaching portrays how important it is to overcome sin consciousness by claiming the believer’s righteousness. And lastly, it handles us being workers together with God and that God works in us!

Walking by the Spirit Nature in Acts

Healing Receiving the Holy Spirit and Manifestations The First-Century Church Greenkill Conference Center Chatten, Bob 06/28/2016 06/28/2016

Some records are covered showing how Peter and other believers in the first-century Church walked by the spirit and operated the nine manifestations of the spirit in different situations in the Church. The totality of the new nature of Christ within us is explained. Bob identifies the keys to walking by the spirit and the fruit of the spirit in the records he covers; there was great deliverance in these records which brought about great movement of the Word.

Speak the Word

The First Century Church Witnessing and Undershepherding Greenkill Conference Center Zolezzi, Steve 06/27/2016 06/27/2016

This teaching begins by establishing that, if people are ever going to believe God’s Word, they have to hear it first; therefore, people need to be speaking it. Then, it looks at examples of believers in the Book of Acts, in various circumstances, continuing to speak God’s Word resulting in people believing.

A Vision from Acts for Outreach Today

The First Century Church Witnessing and Undershepherding Greenkill Conference Center Zolezzi, Steve 06/27/2016 06/27/2016

This teaching depicts a godly vision of outreach from examples in the Book of Acts. It portrays the changes that occurred doctrinally following Jesus Christ’s ascension and the Day of Pentecost, and it shows how God’s Word grew numerically, geographically, culturally, and in different areas of influence.

Believing vs. Fear

Believing Overcoming Fear Receiving the Holy Spirit and Manifestations The First-Century Church Greenkill Conference Center Carr, Jerry 06/26/2016 06/26/2016

We are shown the transition of Peter and the disciples from being behind closed doors because of fear before the day of Pentecost to having full confidence, trust, and believing on the day of Pentecost after they received holy spirit. When they listened, followed and obeyed, their fear left. When we have no fear, we are able to manifest power, and it is the manifestations in operation that will bring people to fellowship. We are instructed to believe God, to please God, and help others believe God by seeing our example of believing.
