Service in the Book of Philippians

The First Century Church The Great Mystery Leadership and Service The Fellowlaborers’ House (2 Baier) Zolezzi, Steve 12/31/2011 12/31/2011

This teaching looks at the lack of service in the Philippian church due to wrong practice regarding the Mystery by not serving one another. Jesus Christ, Timothy, and Epaphroditus are given as examples of people who helped correct this by demonstrating right practice in the area of service to help others live the Mystery and walk in love. If the Mystery is going to live, it takes people having a great heart to serve and give, not being wrapped up in themselves, but looking for needs in the Body to bless the people they are with and bring out their best. Service starts with a decision to stand fast together so we can do the utmost for the highest and serve the Word of life.

How to Take Care of Others

Lifestyle of a Believer Love The Great Mystery The Fellowlaborers’ House (2 Baier) Mercado, Dean 12/30/2011 12/30/2011

This teaching is split into four practical sections on how to care for others: (1) decide to love others and walk in love, (2) consider others before yourself, (3) believe God works in you, and (4) follow up with people to see how they are doing. We are very valuable to God, and we can decide to make other people valuable to us.

The Great Mystery: The One Body of Christ

Believing The Great Mystery Greenkill Conference Center Chatten, Bob 04/24/2010 04/24/2010

This teaching is on the mystery of the One Body of Christ, and it explains what the spiritual Body of Christ is by comparing it to the physical body of man. We are told how the believer can understand what his function is in the Body of Christ, how to perform that function, and how to help others to see their part in the Body so that the whole Body together can function according to God’s design to show forth the glory of God.

Colossians 2:10: You Can Walk with God

The Great Mystery Greenkill Conference Center Armstrong, Joe 04/15/2007 04/15/2007

This teaching is about the power of God all born-again believers are given and how we can walk with that power because of the grace and righteousness we were freely given by Jesus Christ’s accomplishments. We are told to beware of religion that will tell us that you have to be good enough before you can walk with God’s power. Our place in the One Body is not something we’ve earned, but we’ve been placed in the Body by grace with each member being necessary and complete.

Power, The One Body

Like-minded Hearts

Lifestyle of a Believer The Great Mystery Greenkill Conference Center Chatten, Bob 04/14/2007 04/14/2007

This teaching highlights several examples demonstrating what unity is supposed to look like with believers agreeing on the Mystery while being united in love as the One Body of Christ. God has supplied His family with a written standard, the Word of God, and the head of the Body, Christ Jesus, to lead us so we can be likeminded and glorify God together even though we are different as individuals. Like-mindedness in believing God’s Word results in unity, answered prayer, gladness, fellowship, outreach, boldness, and meeting of needs, as well as receiving and manifesting God’s power, grace, deliverance, and joy. This is music to God’s heart!
