This was the second of two Days in the Word held in the Central Area of New Jersey in 2014. These events consisted of an afternoon with two teachings for adults with separate children’s fellowships going on at the same time, breaks to allow the believers time to fellowship together, refreshments, and a bookstore. It was an opportunity for the believers from fellowships throughout the Central Area of New Jersey to be together.

This was the first of two Days in the Word held in the Northern Area of New Jersey in 2009. These events consisted of an afternoon with multiple teachings for adults with separate children’s fellowships going on at the same time, simultaneous translation into Spanish, and breaks to allow the believers to fellowship together. Each one centered around a biblical theme, in this case “Our Hope”.

Man can’t manage time. You can only manage yourself in light of the time God has given us. The teacher covers five things in this teaching: perspective, purpose, priorities, plans, and performance, with the main point of the teaching being, “It all has to start with God”. In God’s perspective, the time until Christ returns is short, so we want to live in light of the fact that he can come back in any moment. Our purpose in life is to glorify God in our lives as we await the end of the timeline. We have one priority: God first. Everything revolves around Him, and that sets everything in place. Our plans should include the things God says are urgent from His Word. In our performance, we do everything for God with focus and singleness of heart, diligently and accurately, remembering that time is short. Also, we can have patience because we know that Christ is coming back and that we will be rewarded for that on which we faithfully spend our time in this life while keeping God first and glorifying God.

Faithfulness is building godly habit patterns in your life. We want to build the hope of Christ’s return in our lives. The summary of a Christian’s life is to serve the true God and wait for His Son from heaven. We live everyday expecting, in light of the Hope, that it can occur in any moment. God gave us the Hope to help us be faithful and steadfast on His Word.
