God loved us first, when we didn’t deserve it, and now we’re to love others in that same unconditional way. Our love is not to be conditioned by how people have treated us, how they respond to us, or whether we have anything in common with them. Part of that unconditional love is to forgive, even if the other doesn’t deserve it and hasn’t asked for forgiveness. By doing this we will be walking in God’s way. We’ll be blessed and be a blessing.

Dios nos amó primero, cuando no lo merecíamos, y ahora nosotros hemos de amar a otros de esa misma forma incondicional. Nuestro amor no ha de ser condicionado por cómo alguien nos ha tratado, ni por cómo responden a nosotros, ni por si tenemos algo en común con ellos o no. Parte de ese amor incondicional es el perdonar, aún si el otro no lo merece ni nos ha pedido perdón. Por hacer esto, estaremos andando en el camino de Dios. Estaremos bendecidos y seremos una bendición.

2026 Florida Advance – Colossians 2:2

The theme of our second Florida Advance was Colossians 2:2: “That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ” and highlighted the different parts of that verse: the comfort of God, the love of God, having a knowledge and understanding of God’s Word, and the unity that comes from the Mystery. The fact that the majority of the believers present from across Florida and other states were either native Spanish speakers or bilingual in English and Spanish led to an unusual feature of this weekend. The Saturday and Sunday morning sessions were conducted in English with simultaneous translations into Spanish, while the Saturday evening session was conducted in Spanish with simultaneous translation into English. God made the first move in loving us. We are instructed to live our lives not just knowing God loves us but actively believing it. An example of how Jesus Christ represented God’s love is given, and we are encouraged to to love others as a response to God’s love. We will grow when we do things with the love of God.
