Giving Ourselves to God in Response to What He’s Given Us
Leadership and Service Love Prosperity The Hun School (Princeton, NJ) Chatten, Bob 04/13/2025
Everything we have that’s good has come from God. In light of that, God wants us to live for Him, give ourselves to Him, and serve others in loving and thankful response to all He’s done for us. Christ set us free from the bondage we were in before being born again. Now we need to decide what we’re going to do with that liberty, what we’re going to serve, and what we serve in life is determined by what we love. This teaching covers several things that can become entanglements in our lives, things that we love and serve that leave us not free to love and serve God completely and enjoy all of His blessings. We trace how what God wants us to give is ourselves and, when we’ve done that, all of our other giving – whether spiritual or physical things – is just an expression of our being His.

Giving Our Utmost for His Highest
Love The Hun School (Princeton, NJ) Carr, Jerry 04/13/2025
We want to follow and imitate God, and God is the best example of love and giving. We are taught that being loving requires giving of and committing yourself with no guarantee of return. Forgiveness is also a good way to love and to give. We are encouraged to, as time goes on, continue to become more and more loving, forgiving, and willing to do what God wants you to do.

Jesus Christ’s Example Love New Life Island (Upper Black Eddy, PA) Gilmore, Tim 08/16/2024
This teaching looks at the characteristics of the love of God in 1 Corinthians, Chapter 13 and then goes to examples in the Gospel of John where Jesus Christ loved people and exemplified these characteristics in his manifesting that love to people. As ambassadors, we get people to know God and His love by living it ourselves. The teacher warns that we will face criticism for practicing the love of God because it is counter to culture but to continue to decide to love anyway. We can encourage each other to keep loving and build a culture of love.
