First, we are shown in this teaching how Enoch walked with God and pleased God though the relationship they had together. We see in the Old Testament all the things God did to bless His people and how what He wanted in return from them was to turn away from idolatry and to put Him first in their hearts. In the New Testament, God’s desire for His people had not changed as shown by Jesus telling his followers that the first commandment is to love God with all your heart. The teacher shows us from the Word how to put God first and also how our service for God never comes before our love for God. It’s our heart God wants over our works.
