Ambassadors

Integrity of the Word Sonship Rights New Life Island (Upper Black Eddy, PA) Mercado, Dean 08/15/2024

In this teaching to open the 2024 Youth Advance, we are given the goal of seeing ourselves how God sees us. The integrity of the Word of God is emphasized. We should believe what God says about Himself as well as about us. The teacher introduces the weekend’s theme verse, 2 Corinthians 5:20, and the verses around it. Then, he goes in depth on what an ambassador is and how our ambassadorship for Christ compares to ambassadorship in the world. There is nothing higher than being a son of God.

2024 Summer Camp Closing Teaching

Sonship Rights Spruce Lake Retreat Center (Canadensis, PA) Carr, Jerry 07/05/2024

This last session of the camp opens with Kristy Nafey and Eric Rosa performing the song “Stand”. After that, Rev. Carr uses Chapter 58 of Isaiah to draw a sharp contrast between the ugliness and oppressiveness of religion on the one hand and the beauty and greatness of the things God wants to and will do when we accept what He’s given us freely on the other hand. We are exhorted to stand on God’s Word and really master the foundational truths we’ve been taught. Following the teaching, Rev. Mercado thanks the people who made the week of camp possible and closes it in prayer.

Our Ministry of Reconciliation

Sonship Rights Witnessing and Undershepherding Spruce Lake Retreat Center (Canadensis, PA) Chatten, Bob 07/02/2024

In the context of God’s telling us He has given us the ministry of reconciliation, He details three aspects of it – that we are to be living epistles, we’ve been made able ministers, and we’ve been sent as ambassadors for Christ. Our ministry of reconciling others to God involves not only speaking God’s Word but also living the Word so others can see it in action, manifesting the gift of holy spirit which equips us for this ministry, and exercising our power and authority as sent ones from God to take the place of the absent Christ.
