How I Got Into God’s Word – Lantz Arrington

Love Witnessing and Undershepherding Greenkill Conference Center Arrington, Lantz 04/27/2019 04/27/2019

Lantz gives a heartfelt overview of how he got into the Word and what attracted him to it. He grew up in “churchianity” but wondered why his church did not include all different types of people like his school did. His mom encouraged him to try other types of churches, and he searched for a long time. One day, a believer invited him over for dinner, and he stayed for his first fellowship afterwards. He gives examples of believers who invested their time and energy in him, demonstrated love and care towards him, and believed in him. He heard the truth of God, how He loves us, how He is light, and how He doesn’t kill or make people sick. The day he spoke in tongues he knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that he was a son of God with all power!

Sounding Out

Sounding Out Believing Renewed Mind Witnessing and Undershepherding Greenkill Conference Center Carr, Jerry 04/26/2019 04/26/2019

This opening teaching to the 2019 Spring Advance covers how important it is for our lives to be examples of God’s Word. We are to pay attention to what we are believing about ourselves and other people, and we are to always be loving even when it is inconvenient. We can speak about and operate the manifestations, being out among the people of this world. We are reminded that speaking the Word to even one person can cause the Word to sound out across the world.

Two Responsibilities

Marriage, Family and Children Witnessing and Undershepherding Aldersgate Center Zolezzi, Steve 05/14/2000 05/14/2000

We have two responsibilities with spiritual knowledge as a Christian family – to know it and to share it. Teaching children God’s Word takes repetition and does not happen overnight. The Word of God gets passed down from generation to generation when it is lived and taught in the family. Timothy learned about believing God from his mother and grandmother. The first priority, even over football practice and ballet class, is make an effort to teach kids about the beginning of knowledge, which is God’s Word. Whether we are parents who want to pass along God’s Word to their children, children who need learn God’s Word to stand, or people in the body of Christ who want to speak God’s Word, there needs to be desire and effort to plant, water, and hold forth the Word of life to see outreach. As believers, it is our responsibility and joy to be able to share God’s Word with people and our children so they can walk worthy of God.

Peter: From Closed Doors to Open

Overcoming Fear Witnessing and Undershepherding Greenkill Conference Center Hernandez, Stephanie 06/26/2018 06/26/2018

This teaching looks at the life of Peter and what God did to help him overcome fear. Do you think God is willing to work with you when you are afraid, even if you shouldn’t be? God doesn’t give up on us. Even if you have stepped away from God’s Word, God has not left you, and you are still called. About 3,000 people were saved after Peter stood up on the day of Pentecost and conquered fear. When you decide to go with God, He will deliver you from anything you are afraid of. Peter put himself behind closed doors out of fear, but later God opened the prison doors. Deliverance comes when we make the decision to act; Peter saw deliverance when he overcame fear in his life. Fear kills ambition, so there is no place for fear in your life. Peter had a calling, and we have a calling to be witnesses. Conquer fear in your life!

So Mightily Grew the Word of God and Prevailed

Lifestyle of a Believer The First-Century Church Witnessing and Undershepherding The Fellowlaborers’ House (2 Baier) Chatten, Bob 01/01/2012 01/01/2012

We see the lifestyle of the believers in the first-century Church in detail from Acts 2:41-47. They had respect for God and each other, and they lived with love, grace, and commitment, and that allowed the Mystery to live. As a result, many people were saved and came to a knowledge of the truth. The Word will prevail when we are truly committed.
