Renewed Mind Cinardo Home (Rutherford, NJ) Daggon, Jim 11/15/2007 11/15/2007
This teaching covers the beginning of Romans 12, which is the beginning of the practical side of Romans. God wants us to live for Him by renewing our minds to His word. This section handles thinking soberly of ourselves and the other believers. Another theme in this section is that another way we can fulfill our logical divine service to God is by believing to function as a integral member of the Body of Christ.

In this chapter that closes out the doctrinal side of the Book of Romans, we see that every man is dead in trespasses and sins but God reveals how the saved sinner is justified. The old man is reckoned dead. There is no judgment for the believer. There is no separation from God. Man starts in Romans in a state of ruin. Then he is dead with Christ and risen with him, made an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ.
