Praising God and Having Favor

Love The First-Century Church Greenkill Conference Center Carr, Jerry 05/01/2016 05/01/2016

This teaching emphasizes how the first-century Church celebrated God as a family. They had a lot of power because they received the Word with believing and operated the manifestations. They built each other up with God’s Word, ministering grace to one another. The love of God is reviewed, reminding us that this love will outlast everything else.

One Accord

The First Century Church Greenkill Conference Center Zolezzi, Steve 05/01/2016 05/01/2016

This teaching is about the importance of unity in light of Acts 2:42-47. Great things happen in the Bible when people are of one accord. The believers stood united in Acts and walked with God which took the move of God’s Word to different continents and languages. If people are not united on right doctrine and practice then the Word doesn’t move. To put out a campfire, one thing you can do is spread the coals; we don’t want to be a campfire that goes out because we are separated. We need to stay unified, and then people who are out in the cold will want to join the bonfire. We are likeminded on the Word according to the risen Christ, and we can’t let guilt separate us from God or the believers. Love is proactive and helps to prevent practical errors which can lead to doctrinal error. It keeps things simple when God and His Word are the priority. If the Word is going to move, it’s going to take someone to move it. God moved in Christ Jesus; now it’s our move.

Unity

Compassion and Believing

Believing Jesus Christ’s Example Love Greenkill Conference Center Gilmore, Michael 04/30/2016 04/30/2016

This teaching covers examples of compassion and the benefits that follow when believers walk with the kind of compassion that Jesus Christ showed.

Power in the People

The First Century Church Receiving the Holy Spirit and Manifestations Greenkill Conference Center Chatten, Bob 04/30/2016 04/30/2016

The teaching starts with how Jesus Christ was the one who taught the Word and operated the power of God in the Gospels. In Acts, a new administration begins where the believers continue the works of Jesus Christ and even go beyond what he could do by the operation of the power of the holy spirit in each born again believer. Signs, miracles, and wonders are explained as well as how they produce respect for God and a rising of believing that brings more signs, miracles, and wonders with the end result of the Word moving over the world.

Administrations in the Bible

Continuing Steadfastly in Prayer

Prayer Greenkill Conference Center Shaak, Erin 04/30/2016 04/30/2016

This teaching is about one of the most powerful and life-changing things we can do as believers: prayer. It takes a deeper look at the phrase “continued stedfastly” in prayer from Acts 2 and how we can build this habit in our own lives. The teacher gives many examples of answered prayers and shows how this can build trust in God. Prayer with believing goes beyond people’s expectations, brings people together, crosses distances, and leads to results. Our lifestyle and instant reaction includes going to God for everything we care about and looking for ways to give by praying. God can be our closest friend. If we want to live abundant lives and see the Word move over the world, then we need to continue steadfastly in prayer.

The Benefits of Being Together and Giving

The First Century Church Prosperity Greenkill Conference Center Carr, Jesse 04/30/2016 04/30/2016

In this teaching, we look at the Church at Philippi as an example of how believers should live by being specifically concerned with the needs of other believers. The teacher compares the Philippians with the descriptions of believers in Acts, Chapters 2 and 4 looking at how they gave of their abundance to meet the needs of others. We also turn to 1 Thessalonians, Luke, and 2 Corinthians to see what God says about giving versus coveting and how other believers should be more important to us than any material possession.
