Prayer Greenkill Conference Center Gilmore, Michael 06/29/2016 06/29/2016
In this teaching, Michael highlights things the believers prayed for in the Epistles. The teaching covers two ways for praying, in the spirit and with our understanding. It establishes the importance of staying our minds when we go to God in prayer. Then, it continues on addressing prayer as a group, as an individual, with prayer partners, and, lastly, as a leader.
Prayer in the Book of Acts
The First Century Church Prayer Greenkill Conference Center Gilmore, Michael 06/29/2016 06/29/2016
This teaching begins with an overview of prayers throughout the Book of Acts; all prayers mentioned were for the move of God’s Word and for people to be delivered. It handles the importance of our motivation and priorities when we go to God for things. It covers God’s care for our every need when we chose to freely serve Him. The teaching portrays how important it is to overcome sin consciousness by claiming the believer’s righteousness. And lastly, it handles us being workers together with God and that God works in us!
The Effectiveness of Prayer
Prayer Greenkill Conference Center Gilmore, Michael 05/03/2015 05/03/2015
Michael handles prayer being effective, not because of the prayer itself or the person praying the prayer, but because of God’s nature and because His Word gives us the assurance that He will answer. He covers the importance of praying with expectation without trying to figure out how God will answer. We are shown examples of people in the Bible praying for things God wants and of believers banding together in prayer for things. The teaching closes by telling us to have expectation from God and to pray for things God wants to happen so His Word can move.

In this chapter that closes out the doctrinal side of the Book of Romans, we see that every man is dead in trespasses and sins but God reveals how the saved sinner is justified. The old man is reckoned dead. There is no judgment for the believer. There is no separation from God. Man starts in Romans in a state of ruin. Then he is dead with Christ and risen with him, made an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ.
