Believing vs. Mental Assent
Believing Old Testament Examples The Palace Hotel (North Bergen, NJ) Carr, Jerry Zolezzi, Steve 06/08/1990 06/08/1990
This teaching covers the difference between believing and mental assent by looking at the “roll call of honor of believing” in Hebrews 11. We read about the example of the believing of Rahab in the Old Testament, followed by an exhortation for us to consider the example of Jesus Christ and his believing so that we don’t faint in our minds. In the second part, there is a comparison between the Old and New Testaments, comparing Israel’s deliverance from Egypt and entry to the Promised Land with the deliverance of believers in the New Testament from sin and entry into the riches of Christ. The believing of Joseph is covered and we are shown how, from one man’s believing, Egypt became the greatest nation in the world at that time. Moses’ faithfulness is also shown and Jesus’ life is compared with Moses.
Samson’s Stand and Ours
Believing Old Testament Examples The Palace Hotel (North Bergen, NJ) Carr, Jerry 06/06/1990 06/06/1990
This is the record of Samson and how he believed God, walked with revelation, and took a stand against unbelievers in an unbelieving nation. Because of the stand on God’s Word of Old Testament believers, we can stand and believe God’s word today.
Prayer and Believing vs. Fear
Believing Overcoming Fear Prayer The Palace Hotel (North Bergen, NJ) Carr, Jerry 06/04/1990 06/04/1990
This teaching covers Scriptures about fear and how to overcome it. One great key is prayer and believing when you pray. After looking at some of the many promises that God has given His children, it looks at how the believers in Acts 8 continued speaking God’s Word in spite of the persecutions they faced.
Four Ways to Build God’s Word in People
Believing The Palace Hotel (North Bergen, NJ) Carr, Jerry 06/06/1990 06/06/1990
This session covers four great ways of building God’s Word in people – loving them with the love of God, believing in people, understanding that every believer has a function in the Body, and how all people have a basic desire to be needed.

Our Calling in the One Body
Renewed Mind The Palace Hotel (North Bergen, NJ) Carr, Jerry 06/04/1990 06/04/1990
This teaching talks about the renewed mind, Jesus Christ’s works, and how we, the believers, can do the same works Jesus Christ did. We study the Word of God to have a knowledge of God and not be ignorant of spiritual matters. The knowledge of God’s Word and the application of it with believing enables us to live victoriously. The second part of this teaching covers our calling in the One Body and how we are seated in the heavenlies above all principalities and powers as covered in the book of Ephesians. Then, in Romans, the spiritual Body is compared with the human body, how it fits together and how every part is needed and has a function. In light of that, we are to love one another without partiality.

Some Benefits of Working God’s Way
Prosperity Daggon Home (Budd Lake, NJ) Chatten, Bob 03/28/2004 03/28/2004
This series closes out by looking at some more benefits of working God’s way. When we are living other parts of our lives for God and with God, motivated by the love of God and in fellowship with God, then our work is also part of the “work of the Lord” as stated in 1 Corinthians 15:58 . Work, biblically defined, is designed to be a joyous fellowship with God in anticipation of Christ’s return.
