The Example of a Believer

Lifestyle of a Believer Love Greenkill Conference Center Armstrong, Joe 04/27/2019 04/27/2019

This teaching is about being an example of a believer and being a kind person. A believer is someone who trusts God and His promises. A believer can say in the worst of situations “be of good cheer” because they trust in God and not in men. Believers have joy, stay calm, and can even sleep through storms. Our God can do wonderful things. Believers expect God to take care of them and know that He can turn a situation around. We don’t live our lives filled with fear because we have confidence in God. Our examples as believers affect other people and can help them to not be afraid. People can know how kind God is when you show forth kindness. We want to be loving and kind in our actions as God is loving and kind.

How I Got Into God’s Word – Lantz Arrington

Love Witnessing and Undershepherding Greenkill Conference Center Arrington, Lantz 04/27/2019 04/27/2019

Lantz gives a heartfelt overview of how he got into the Word and what attracted him to it. He grew up in “churchianity” but wondered why his church did not include all different types of people like his school did. His mom encouraged him to try other types of churches, and he searched for a long time. One day, a believer invited him over for dinner, and he stayed for his first fellowship afterwards. He gives examples of believers who invested their time and energy in him, demonstrated love and care towards him, and believed in him. He heard the truth of God, how He loves us, how He is light, and how He doesn’t kill or make people sick. The day he spoke in tongues he knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that he was a son of God with all power!

By Love, Serve Deliverance

Deliverance Leadership and Service Love Mountain Top Inn and Resort Zolezzi, Steve 11/03/2018 11/03/2018

This teaching looks at the relationship between love, deliverance, and service. There are three parts: (1) being a shepherd; (2) being moved with compassion; and (3) the Apostle Paul’s “manner of entering in” from the book of Thessalonians. Jesus Christ laid down his life so that we can have abundant and eternal lives. Are we willing to lay our lives down in service to help other people? Jesus Christ’s compassion led to God’s Word being taught, the sick being healed, and people getting fed. Paul loved and gave everything he had because people were dear unto him. This resulted in an explosion of God’s Word! Love combined with the Word of God brings deliverance and helps people walk worthy. We can be moved with compassion today towards people who need the love and power of God so they can get God’s best.

God Has Given Us Love

Believing Love Mountain Top Inn and Resort Gilmore, Liz 11/03/2018 11/03/2018

God has not given us fear but, instead, has given us love. It’s a spiritual love, an unconditional love. Always start with God’s love to know how to love yourself. It will take God the ages to come to fully show us His love. He gave, and all love is giving. Love is powerful; we can take people from death spiritually to life. Love is a decision of the will. You choose. Love is rich in mercy. We did not deserve to be loved, but he loved us anyway. You have to know God to imitate Him. You can’t truly walk in God’s love without knowing God’s Word. We hide the Word in our hearts and apply it; that is how love is perfected. Love grows as it is manifested and walked upon. It’s something you keep working at. It’s in the Word and in our actions that we love one another. It is not just knowing the Word but acting on the Word. We represent Jesus Christ here on earth.

Marriage

Lifestyle of a Believer Love Marriage, Family, and Children Aldersgate Center (Newton, NJ) Chatten, Bob 05/13/2000 05/13/2000

This teaching focuses on one chapter, 1 Corinthians 7, which is written to the Church regarding God’s spiritual advice on relationships. All of our human relationships were designed to be a blessing but not a distraction from God. Topics covered include the love of God as the basis of relationships, premarital sex, sex in marriage, temptations, unmarried believers, widows, married Christians, and Christians married to non-Christians. The key to all these relationships is to walk with God. We don’t have time to lose focus from God with all of our human relationships and worldly things beyond our need. Enjoy your relationships in all these situations, but don’t get distracted from putting God first and manifesting the love of God in the renewed mind.

The Love of God in the Christian Family

Love Marriage, Family and Children Aldersgate Center Zolezzi, Steve 05/13/2000 05/13/2000

This teaching looks at the love of God within the Christian family. God set the standard for love, and He is the one who set up marriage. He set it up to bless man and to preserve the Word from generation to generation. It looks at the Christian family in the book of Ephesians where it appears in the context of walking in love and in light of the great Mystery. Husbands, wives and children all need to walk in love to be in step with God and each other. Love is the bond of perfectness, and it works in the family of God. Jesus Christ loved God more than he loved other people and thus never compromised on the Word. We need to love God first so we never compromise on the Word. The price we pay for loving is high, but the price we pay for not loving is more than what we can afford to pay.
