God’s Deliverance – Close
Dealing with the Adversary Deliverance Old Testament Examples Aldersgate Center Zolezzi, Steve 06/05/2005 06/05/2005
The battle is not ours, but God’s. This teaching looks at an outstanding record where Jehoshaphat seeks God for help in a life-threatening situation for him and his people. They receive instruction from the Lord, believe it, and then He delivered them out of their situation. God wants His people delivered. In the Old Testament, it was a physical battle; now, it’s a spiritual battle, but the battle has already been won. In life, there are disappointments, but spiritual, mental, and physical deliverance is available. We all have situations where we need help. Do we choose to focus on the situation, or do we choose to focus on God who is able to deliver? Christ won the victory, and we can triumph in Christ! All we have to do now is believe it. We are dealing with a defeated adversary. We don’t have to be afraid to love people or help someone along the way. We are triumphant in Christ. The victory is ours. We are free to enjoy life. Let’s believe “If God be for us, who can be against us?” and watch God bring His Word to pass because He is a God of deliverance.
The Victory
Following God: Examples in Action
Following God: Examples in Action Leadership and Service Old Testament Examples Greenkill Conference Center Carr, Jesse Carr, Jerry 06/27/2018 06/27/2018
This teaching looks at examples of people following and not following God. We can follow God by revelation and by knowing His Word from the Bible. The Word is truth and the baseline of our decision making. The world’s way is not working, and people are hungry for real answers. We need God for everything in our lives. When we are given a charge by God, we go. The apostles in Acts 5 followed the angel of the Lord’s instruction to speak God’s Word. Philip ran to serve the Ethiopian eunuch by helping him with God’s Word. Elijah didn’t get all the information from God right away but followed one step at a time. Saul knew the commandment of the Lord but chose not to follow it. We have the greatest revelation ever given for us to follow in God’s Word. Following Christ leads to great rewards if we are doing it according to God’s Word. Obeying God gets us the victory, and that’s how to be more than a conqueror.
Obedience
God Helps Us Conquer Fear
Old Testament Examples Overcoming Fear Greenkill Conference Center Gilmore, Tim 06/26/2018 06/26/2018
God wants to help us with fear, and that’s all there is to it. This teaching looks at the record of God helping Gideon conquer fear. First, God tells him that he is a mighty man of valor. Then God graciously works with Gideon to help him with his believing and be assured that He was with him. Gideon then believes, and God did all the hard work for Gideon’s victory. Gideon was meek and knew he was nothing without God. It is so easy for God to help us with what we need. It is so hard for us to do it on our own; the hardest part is asking Him for help. The more responsibility we have, the more we need to go to God for help. God, the Creator of the heavens and the Earth, is our helper. We don’t have to be perfect people for God to show Himself strong, but we do need to be meek to ask Him for help. He will absolutely help us.
Overcoming Fear: A Matter of Perspective

This teaching covers overcoming fear by seeing situations from God’s point of view rather than man’s perspective.
Intercessory Prayer: Standing in the Gap
Jesus Christ’s Example Leadership and Service Old Testament Examples Prayer Greenkill Conference Center Chatten, Bob 05/02/2015 05/02/2015
This teaching is about praying with intercession, using our access to God, on behalf of the believers. It talks about us, as sons of God, standing in the gap with prayer for one another. Jesus Christ, Moses, and Samuel are given as examples as well as Epaphras’ laboring fervently in intercession for the believers in the New Testament. We are told that everything works together for good because of prayer in the spirit, which is speaking in tongues.
