Pray Without Ceasing – Close

Prayer Greenkill Conference Center Carr, Jerry 05/03/2015 05/03/2015

Jerry closes out the weekend by reading Psalm 139. He points out that God still talked to David and calls him a man after His own heart despite the fact that he killed a man. He shares about the miracle that occurred when he was healed because of the effectual, fervent prayers of the righteous, the believers, on his behalf while he was unconscious. We are told that God’s thoughts towards us are more in number than the sand in the sea and are precious; our thoughts of ourselves and others should be this way too because every individual in the Body of Christ is intricate and important. Lastly, Jerry sings “For You I Will Live”.

The Effectiveness of Prayer

Prayer Greenkill Conference Center Gilmore, Michael 05/03/2015 05/03/2015

Michael handles prayer being effective, not because of the prayer itself or the person praying the prayer, but because of God’s nature and because His Word gives us the assurance that He will answer. He covers the importance of praying with expectation without trying to figure out how God will answer. We are shown examples of people in the Bible praying for things God wants and of believers banding together in prayer for things. The teaching closes by telling us to have expectation from God and to pray for things God wants to happen so His Word can move.

Boldness in Prayer

Prayer Witnessing and Undershepherding Greenkill Conference Center Hernandez, Stephanie 05/03/2015 05/03/2015

Stephanie establishes God’s willingness and ability to display His strength towards us. She reviews the openness of speech we can have when we go to God due to Jesus Christ’s full payment. We are shown examples in the Bible of people praying to God publicly and boldly, and how bringing people along in our prayer life gives an opportunity for God to prove Himself.

Intercessory Prayer: Standing in the Gap

Jesus Christ’s Example Leadership and Service Old Testament Examples Prayer Greenkill Conference Center Chatten, Bob 05/02/2015 05/02/2015

This teaching is about praying with intercession, using our access to God, on behalf of the believers. It talks about us, as sons of God, standing in the gap with prayer for one another. Jesus Christ, Moses, and Samuel are given as examples as well as Epaphras’ laboring fervently in intercession for the believers in the New Testament. We are told that everything works together for good because of prayer in the spirit, which is speaking in tongues.

Four Things Jesus Christ Taught on Prayer

Jesus Christ’s Example Prayer Greenkill Conference Center Armstrong, Joe 05/02/2015 05/02/2015

Joe covered four things Jesus Christ taught about prayer: (1) Just ask, with shamelessness; (2) Be humble, knowing that you need his help and that God doesn’t answer prayers because they’re earned; (3) Spend time alone with God to get to know God; and (4) At times we need to wait for prayers to be answered, so keep praying and don’t faint while you trust firmly in Him.

In the Name of Jesus Christ

Prayer Greenkill Conference Center Mercado, Dean 05/02/2015 05/02/2015

Dean opens by discussing the meaning of the name of Jesus Christ biblically and how he is represented in the stars. He continues with showing that Jesus Christ was given a name, he inherited a name, and he acquired a name. Lastly, he reviews from God’s Word the ability we have to use his name and the great authority and power that backs it up.
