The teacher exhorts us to learn what the Bible says, to be bold about believing it, and to stand.

In this teaching, the teacher expounds on how to be strong in the Lord and not in your own self. People are weak and limited; we need God. God loves to show Himself strong on our behalf, and He gave us manifestations so we could have power to be able to do cool things with God. The teacher uses Peter as an example of a regular guy who received power and was able to do impossible things. We can believe God and manifest power too.
2022 Youth Advance – Be Strong in the Lord

The 2022 Youth Advance was a three day event at the end of the summer for believers ages 12 through 20s focusing on God’s Word, fellowship, and fun. It took place at a camp called New Life Island located on an island in the Delaware River and included meals and overnight housing. The theme verse was Ephesians 6:10: “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” Some of the things that were emphasized were how God wants the absolute best for His kids because of His love and care for us and how being strong in the Lord and in his mighty power equips us to take a stand for him in this world.

This teaching highlights Hebrews 11:1 regarding believing being the title deed to things we pray for. We can have confidence in God’s Word, that what He says will come to pass. The teacher refers to various records in God’s Word where someone had a need, they were told to “be of good cheer”, and deliverance followed. We will have pressure in this life, but God’s Word is the greater reality in every situation. We can “be of good cheer” even before we get the deliverance because we believe His Word.
